Details

Restore any dull chainsaw instantly on the bar by locking each tooth at a precise 30° and sharpening with a hand crank—no removal, filing, or measurements needed.

Product demonstration

SharpEdgePro attaches to bars ranging from 4 to 22 inches and works across gas, electric, and battery saws. A universal clamp and five grinding burrs adapt it to most brands, letting you sharpen without taking the chain off.

With a built-in pawl that grips every tooth at 30°, there’s no angle guessing or drift. The jig clamps to the bar in under a minute using three thumbscrews, while a fourth fine‑tuning knob controls burr depth so you remove only what’s necessary, preserving chain life.

Designed for 4"–22" bars, it fits gas, electric, and battery saws from brands such as Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo, Ryobi, and Greenworks. It stays mounted on the bar, eliminating the need for separate stands or bench setups and replacing traditional filing or grinding with a simple manual crank workflow.

Compared to hand files or bench grinders, this system fixes the angle and keeps every tooth consistent, improving balance and reducing kickback risk. The fixed 30° guide maintains the factory sharpening angle as you work, tooth by tooth, with each crank stroke.

Owners often report faster cutting, longer chain life, and less waste when they sharpen on the bar before every job. A user described bringing a Stihl chain back to life on a 6-inch oak branch in about ten minutes, noting the result exceeded expectations.

What’s in the box

  • 1 jig
  • 5 grinding burrs
  • 1 crank arm
  • 1 spanner wrench
  • 2 lock nuts

Three simple steps to a razor-sharp chain

  1. Attach the jig to the chainsaw bar with the three thumbscrews and set burr depth using the fourth knob.
  2. Lower the pawl onto the first tooth and rotate the hand crank to carve a perfect 30° edge in 3–5 turns.
  3. Slide the chain forward, lock the pawl on the next tooth, and repeat. The first full chain takes about 10 minutes; subsequent passes go faster.
